VITA, the trade association dedicated to fostering American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited, open system architectures in critical embedded systems applications, has released its 2011 State of the VITA Technology Industry report. The report provides updates on the state of the VME technology industry in particular -- encompassing VPX, OpenVPX, VPX REDI, VXS and FMC interconnect schemes - and of the board industry in general, from the perspective of Ray Alderman, the executive director of VITA.
