MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Phoenix Contact’s line of sensor/actuator connectors now includes the QUICKON M8 connectors. The QUICKON system uses insulation displacement technology to reduce installation times by up to 80 percent, says the company.
According to Phoenix, by eliminating the need to prepare the wires and cables, QUICKON technology provides a fast, vibration-resistant connection. The simple two-piece connector features color-coded terminals. This is especially valuable in field installations, where technicians need to make quick on-site connections and minimize downtime.
The M8 connectors are available in both male and female versions, with either three or four positions. Like the related M12 QUICKON connectors, they meet IP65/67 requirements and are rated for operation between -25 and +80 degrees Celsius.
