Molex design kits now available through distributors

Nov 2, 2009

November 2, 2009 -- Molex announced that master distributor Waldom Electronics has launched Molexkits.com, providing pre-packaged design kits that include all the necessary parts for a particular Molex connector product, solution or application.

Molex says the kits are intended to make it easier for distributors' customers to develop new designs without having to search for and purchase each individual part.

“Waldom and Molex together have offered kits to the MRO [Maintenance and Repair] market for years,” comments Jim Kruzich, Molex distribution accounts manager. “We used the same concept with our design kits, making it easier for our customers to design connectors into their products. Molexkits.com streamlines the process so that distributors can offer end-users a single resource for finding, researching and buying a specific connector design kit.”

Waldom has assembled over 200 unique Molex connector kits in the following categories:

-- Product Kits:  Offers customers a range of connector types such as wire-to-board, wire-to-wire, board-to-board, solderless terminals, terminal blocks and more.

-- Solution Kits: Includes a variety of solutions for anti-tangle, blind mate, environmentally sealed, high speed, power, space saving and more.

-- Application Kits: Provides kits for many industries and environments including automotive, industrial equipment, medical, military, data communications and telecommunications among others.

The website's user-friendly interface allows customers to go online to research and compare solutions to virtually any interconnect challenge, says Molex. The site offers convenient drop down menus and a robust search feature to help locate specific kits. Once a kit is identified, end-users can use the site to place an order with an authorized distributor.
