A new line of connector housings from Amphenol offer superior corrosion resistance in extreme environments. The housings resist crevice corrosion caused by electrochemical reactions that occurs between spare parts, such as levers, die casts, and fixed parts of the housings.
The housings have passed salt mist testing according to IEC 60512-11-6:2002 for more than 500 hours and exceed the performance expectations attributed to current products on the market, says the company. The
The housings are suited for applications where salt mist is a challenge, such as wind power, railways, cranes, and any other outdoor applications.
