JST launches GVH Series sub-miniature crimp style wire-to-board connectors for critical high density applications

The GVH Series wire-to-board, crimp style disconnectable connectors recently introduced by JST Corporation (Waukegan, IL) offer subminiature size and reliable contact construction for high density applications.

The 1.25 mm (.049”) pitch, top and side entry SMT connectors are polarized and have a positive locking feature when mating to headers including a audible click/tactile feedback when mated. The product's uniquely constructed single row contact is easily inserted into the housing with low insertion force and contact reinforcements offer strength and stability to the mounted headers, according to the company.

The GVH single row, crimp style connector series is available in 2 through 15 circuits rated 1.0 A (AC/DC) using a 26 AWG wire at 50 V AC/DC. Wire sizes AWG # 30 to 26 are accommodated. Temperature range is -250 C to +850 C including temperature rise in applying electrical current.

Header plating is RoHS compliant 94VO 6T Nylon SMT headers available in top or side mount. Header contacts are tin plated phosphor bronze and reinforcements (for additional mechanical strength) are tin plated brass for cost effective but extremely reliable contact interface.

Contacts are offered on standard size reels for semi-automatic or fully automatic application tooling while mini-reels are offered for mini-reel hand tools. SMT headers are provided on embossed tape for automatic insertion equipment.
