WirelessHD Kit From Cables To Go earns 'Best Product' award

Jul 12, 2010

DAYTON, OH -- Cables To Go announced that its TruLink 60GHz WirelessHD Kit was named a winner in Network Products Guide's annual Reader Trust Awards.

The 60 GHz WirelessHD Kit wirelessly transmits 1080p video and 7.1 channel surround audio signals from HDMI components such as a Blu-ray player, set-top box, computer or gaming console to a television up to 33 feet away.

The WirelessHD Kit is also billed by Cables to Go as a quick and convenient alternative to cable installation, particularly in situations such as rental properties where in-wall cabling is not feasible due to plaster, brick or exterior walls. According to the company, set up of the kit is as simple as connecting the receiver and transmitter to the television and HDMI component.

Gary Hess, Cables To Go vice president of innovation, said, "As HDMI becomes more ubiquitous, many users are finding that running new cabling is not always the most desirable alternative. We have introduced our WirelessHD Kit now that wireless technology is mature enough to provide a true cable replacement with a reliable, high-definition signal."
