Wired and wireless connectivity products manufacturer L-com (North Andover, MA) has broadened its USB 2.0 type B connector options with the addition of two new styles of USB ECF coupler/cables. The new ECF504-xxBBS and ECF504-B-5M are similar to the company's existing ECF504-xxAAS and ECF504-5M products.

“Until now we had no option with the type B USB jack in a flange-mount ECF option,” says Steve Smith, product manager. “Now we’re offering both as off-the-shelf products.”
According to the manufacturer, the ECF504-xxBBS allows for panel-mounting of the female B connector on a product for easy accessibility, as well as for connection of the male B connector end securely and easily inside their product. The ECF504-B-5M is used similarly but allows the user to cut the cable pigtail to the desired length and hard-wire or terminate with the connector of choice.
