Heilind Electronics, among the largest interconnect distributors in North America, announced that it is expanding its franchise distribution agreement with connector and related components manufacturer Bulgin, following its May acquisition of Columbus, OH based distributor, Thompson Electronic Supplies. Bulgin, a division of Elektron Technology PLC of Essex, England, offers a range of products including the Buccaneer waterproof connectors, connectors for hazardous environments, IEC connectors, Polysnap connectors, switches, LED indicators, EMI filters, and fuse and battery holders.
Bulgin's high performance plastic-shelled connectors are billed as a low cost alternative to similarly-rated metal-shelled connectors. "We're pleased to be expanding our franchise with Bulgin Connectors," commented David Goforth, Heilind Supplier Business Manager. "Bulgin's strength in rugged plastic power and data connectors for harsh environments will fit in nicely with our existing products."
