The 1-X-Center Fiber Optic Cleaning Kit is said to clean the ferrule end face of SC, FC and ST connectors, which are encased in the connector adapter and not normally accessible. Cleaning is accomplished "in place," meaning that it is not necessary to dismantle the connector for cleaning. The standard kit comes with 50 cleaning rods, an insert for the ST, and adapters for the SC and FC.
