This PLCC ZIF test and burn-in socket accepts both flat-pack ceramic and plastic packages. The Series 536 PLCC ZIF Test Socket reportedly makes intimate contact with pins in the socket body without any damage to the ceramic or plastic packages. It features a latched "clam shell" design with male solder-tail pins projecting from the bottom that can be soldered into a PCB or plugged into an adapter socket.
