ATLANTA - The National Electronic Distributors Association held its 60th annual Executive Conference in Chicago, on November 7-9, 1999. Nearly 370 electronic distribution professionals attended. The conference focused on the issues confronting the electronic distribution industry, including electronic commerce, competition from contract manufacturing, mergers and acquisitions, supply chain management, and value-added services. NEDA`s highest honor, the Gail S. Carter award, was presented to Joseph W. Semmer of Arrow Electronics. The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Gordon W. Marshall of the former Marshall Industries.
