The surface mounted CTP-332-SMT 3.5 mm Stereo Jack is offered with switches and five leads. The mounting posts are affixed through the hole without soldering, which is said to prevent resistance to potential end user damage to the traces on the PCB. Contacts are gold-plated for oxidation protection. The jack is said to require minimal board space (less than 0.5 x 0.5"), yet accommodate standard headsets.
