These 321- and 370-pin Socket 7-compatible adapters are alternatives for high-volume, cost-sensitive applications. BGAs and other fine-pitch processors can reportedly be converted to a Socket 7-compatible PGA footprint at a low cost. The company`s design provides for component placement on the bottom side of the interposer, directly underneath the processor. Also, capacitors and other components can be added close to the processor to reportedly enhance electrical performance.
