The Model BCS telecommunications systems connector was designed as a replacement for the standard 50-pin connector used in business telecommunications systems. It is said to be ruggedized to withstand a minimum 1,600 Vrms (2,260 VDC or peak) before corona discharge arc-over occurs between any two pins. It is a direct form, fit and function replacement upgrade for standard board-edge-type business systems connectors.
