These 10-layer backplanes for CompactPCI applications are said to meet the PICMG CompactPCI 2.0 R 2.1 specification. The 64-bit 3U, 6U and 7U backplanes are available in four, six and eight, and slot versions. Stiffening rails to prevent bending when units are removed and replaced have been incorporated. Other features include: 10-layer construction; microstrip and stripline design; clock signals with identical signal running time; right- or left-handed controller slots; and 220-pin metric connectors for hot-swap applications.
