DataMax 6 patch cords are said to improve channel return loss by 4 to 6 dB, yielding fewer bit errors and greater channel throughput. The cords reportedly make improvements in the performance margin of hardware channels, including Category 5 and 5e systems. They use bulk patch cable designed for use in networks built to perform beyond 1000Base-T (Gigabit Ethernet) and with select high-performance connectors. The patch cords are said to be lot-tested.
