The Eliminator is a male-F connector designed to allow set-box tuner modules to be connected directly to the PCB. The additional cable that is required to mate the assembly to the PCB is reportedly unnecessary. The connector is suitable for use in an array of set-top boxes as it is said to be engineered to satisfy the integrity and durability requirements of basic set-top boxes providing analog video, as well as the higher end set-top boxes supporting cable modem and voice-over-IP technologies.
