The PkZ blind-mate contact was designed to solve impedance changes brought about from partial-mate conditions because of tolerance buildups. The design is said to provide constant impedance over an axial-mating tolerance of 0.09". Reportedly, the PkZ 27 Series has these design characteristics at a lower unit cost and with reduced assembly time. Featuring a double-crimp cable termination, it is targeted to the general wireless market with frequencies to 6 GHz.
