Metrethane 4721 is a two-component, low-viscosity polyurethane elastomer used for potting keypad sensors, making repairs in the telecommunications industry, and potting cable connectors where resistance to salt water and fuel oils is needed. When cured, it is said to become soft and tack-free for use where embedded circuitry must be checked visually and with test probes. The product also reportedly provides a low-strain, free-shock-absorbing cushion for delicate parts over a wide temperature range.
