Tra-Bond FDA 12 is a rigid, medium- viscosity, medical-grade adhesive designed for use in the assembly and repair of medical devices and instruments. The material is said to form bonds to many substrates common to the biomedical industry, including plastics such as pebax and polyethylene, and also most metals and glass. Once cured, the operating temperature range reportedly allows for exposure to repeated sterilization cycles. It is a light-yellow material that exhibits wicking characteristics, and is used for laminating, encapsulating and bonding applications.
