The Eliminator is a male F connector that is designed to allow set-box tuner modules to be connected directly to the PCB. The additional cable required to mate the assembly to the PCB is thus eliminated. The connector is suitable for use in an array of set-top boxes as it is reportedly engineered to satisfy the integrity and durability requirements of basic set-top boxes providing analog or digital video, as well as the higher end set-top boxes supporting cable modem and voice-over-IP technologies.
