Souriau launches 853 KV class connectors, optimized for high vibration, high temperature applications

Souriau has introduced its KV class connectors for meeting high-vibration and high-temperature (260°C) conditions encountered in aircraft engines and other harsh operating environments. To minimize weight and optimize the ergonomics of wiring harnesses in aviation and other applications, the 8535 KV and 8536 KV connectors feature an integrated backshell tested to vibration levels higher than the usual international standards (M83723 and EN2997). In addition to traditional approval tests (8 hours of axial vibration at high temperature), the KV class connectors have also undergone vibration endurance testing for 60 hours with high levels of vibration (considerable movement of up to 13 inches/second and spectral density of 0.03 g²/Hz). The company says the connectors are especially intended for harsh operating environments, with added benefits of simplified wiring and weight reduction through the integrated backshell design.
