Oct 17, 2011

Smiths Group company Interconnect Devices, Inc. (IDI), a provider of high performance connectors specializing in compliant spring probe technology, announced that it has been awarded a Raytheon 3-Star Supplier Excellence award.

Raytheon Company presented supplier excellence awards to 39 companies for their exceptional performance in supporting the company’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business during 2011 at its annual Supplier Excellence Awards Dinner held on September 26 in Los Angeles, Calif.

According to Raytheon, the winning suppliers represent less than one percent of SAS’ supply base. Winners were chosen for meeting demanding standards in the areas of quality and delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and total business and financial health. Evaluations of supplier performance by the Raytheon buyers and material program managers who deal with them regularly were also part of the selection process.

Awards were presented at the 3- and 4-Star level; IDI received a 3-Star award.

“IDI is committed to providing the highest standards of excellence to our customers and we are honored to have earned the prestigious 3-Star Supplier Excellence award from Raytheon SAS," said Gabriel Guglielmi, IDI president. "Receiving this award is a tribute and reinforcement to the dedication of all IDI employees."
