From Multi-Contact, the 21BV series 3 Powerline connector is a single pole, insulated 21mm round power connector that complements the company's existing 10BV and 16BV lines. According to the company, the 3 Powerline adds to the platform current carrying capacity up to 800 amps. The 21BV series connector is intended for use in mobile power generators, mobile emergency power systems, event cabling, production test facilities and other applications where copper conductors need to be connected and/or contact needs to be made between the conductor and panel receptacle. The new connector's smart bayonet locking system simplifies handling, may easily be assembled without special tools, and is IP2X touch protected in unmated condition. Featuring IP65 and IP68 protection against dust and water ingress and temperature resistance up to 120°C, the connector is especially suited for outdoor applications. The company's proprietary MC Multilam Technology ensures low contact resistance and enables high mating cycles.
