The Distinguished Committee Service Award was presented in recognition of Joey’s exceptional contributions to IPC task groups in the development of IPC standards.  Since 2008, he has actively participated in revising specifications that govern qualification and acceptance of printed circuit boards within the industry.  He was directly involved in developing the Acceptability of Printed Boards (IPC-A-600H) and Qualification and Performance Specification for Rigid Printed Boards (IPC-6012C) standards.

“Joey’s involvement with these task groups provides an opportunity for the IPC to benefit from EI and the expertise of its engineering team.  At the same time, EI benefits from the collaboration with other industry leaders while contributing to the content of these new specifications, making them timely and relevant for today’s environment,” commented Brad VanBrunt, VP Quality and Business Excellence at EI.

IPC is a global, member-driven trade organization representing all facets of the electronics industry.  The organization annually honors the individuals who made significant contributions to the IPC and industry by lending their time and expertise to committees and standards and programs development.
