BTC Electronic Components now stocking Preci-Dip AS39029 contacts

Nov 29, 2011

Connector distributor BTC Electronic Components (BTC - Wake Forest, NC) announced the expansion of its product roster with the addition of the Preci-Dip AS39029 (formerly Mil-C-39029) QPL listed and hoodless contacts. Based in Switzerland, Preci-Dip is a manufacturer of interconnect components and a foremost producer of screw-machined and spring-loaded contacts.

Preci Dip’s AS39029 hoodless contacts consist of two parts – the contact body and the clip – which offers significant advantages over the traditional slotted contact model, including reduced dispersion of force value, better redundancy at the level of contact point and smaller difference between insertion and extraction force. The contacts have successfully passed all the qualification tests according to AS39029, and are QPL listed.

The contacts also feature Preci Dip’s patented Eagle Grip Socket Contact Technology which provides optimal symmetry and concentricity of the contact fingers thanks to the compact geometry of the stamp part. Both the pins and sockets for the AS39029 QPL Listed and Hoodless Contacts are used in wide array of connector types including: MIL-DTL-38999, MIL-DTL-24308, MIL-DTL-55302 and MIL-DTL-83733.

Headquartered in Wake Forest, NC, BTC is a manufacturer franchised/authorized interconnect supplier for 31 manufacturers serving the aerospace, military, and commercial interconnect industries. BTC is a small business and is AS9100 Rev C, ISO 9001:2008, ITAR and MIL-STD-790 certified. For more information, call 800-526-2828.
