Endicott Interconnect Technologies earns ISO 13485 medical device certification

Feb 18, 2010

ENDICOTT, NY -- Endicott Interconnect Technologies, Inc. (EI) announced that their Endicott, NY facility has achieved ISO 13485:2003 certification. 13485:2003 is a quality management standard for medical device manufacturing developed by the International Organization for Standardization.

This certification marks a major milestone, says the company, validating EI’s high quality standards and its commitment to expanding into the medical device industry.  Receipt of this certification signifies that EI’s assembly and test of PC boards and semiconductor packages, full integration and test services meet the requirements for suppliers to medical device manufacturers.

“World-class performance and reliability are essential in the medical electronics market, which is why the process to attain this certification is extremely thorough,” stated Brad Van Brunt, VP Quality & Business Excellence at EI.  “By achieving this milestone, EI demonstrates its continued dedication and commitment to deliver high quality, high reliability solutions to our customers in the medical industry.”

EI chose Bureau Veritas Certification (BVC) to assist them in this rigorous certification process.  BVC is an independent certification body recognized by more than 35 national and international accreditation bodies.
