Superior Essex offering CableID printed code option for cable jacketing

Apr 5, 2010

From Superior Essex, CableID is a new feature that provides a unique 4-character printed code, every two feet, on the cable jacket for each thousand-foot box and reel of copper data cable. With CableID, both ends of each cable run are easily identifiable without the need to separately label or tone the cable. For example, if you need to simultaneously pull cable from 10 boxes from point A to point B, each of those 10 cables will have a unique CableID, making it easy to keep track and trace each cable without tagging or taping each cable beforehand.

More News:  Superior Essex gets $19.5M in settlement

CableID Benefits:

•         No need to separately label each cable end and package

•         Makes it easier to trace cables between termination points

•         No need to tone cables

•         Reduces installation time and cost both during initial installation and for moves, adds and changes

•         Aids in documenting cable runs

 CableID Features:

•         4-character alpha numeric code printed on the cable jacket

•         The same code is printed every two feet for the entire length of a single box or reel

•         Codes range from AA00 to ZZ99 for each box or reel

 Products with CableID:

•         CAT 6A: 10Gain XP, 10Gain, CAT 6A ScTP

•         CAT 6eX: NextGain
