Digi-Key now offering Souriau mil-spec connectors

Nov 18, 2011

Electronic components distributor Digi-Key announced that it is now stocking mil-spec connectors from Souriau Connection Technology.

Digi-Key currently stocks more than 6,200 individual Souriau military connector SKUs including the company's D38999 Series I & III, and D26482 G Series I, 851, and Series II. These high reliability connectors are available for immediate shipment to Digi-Key's North American customers.

“We continue to see increased demand for military-spec components,” said Jeff Shafer, Vice President, Global Interconnect, Passives and Electromechanical, Digi-Key Corporation. “By partnering with a respected company such as Souriau, we are afforded the opportunity to expand our selection of product and offer these high reliability components to our customers as well as supporting military designs.”

Souriau provides interconnect solutions to the aerospace, military/defense, industrial equipment, and heavy industry sectors. As a fully MIL-STD 790F, manufacturer-certified distributor, Souriau provides the opportunity for Digi-Key to offer high quality, high reliability military-spec connectors to a wider customer segment.

Plans are being formed to expand the current Souriau military connector offering in the future, says Digi-Key. The distributor notes that it also carries Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) connector products, in addition to supporting military designs.
