The New York Times' automotive blog, Wheels, recently reported that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating the possibility that faulty wiring harnesses could keep the driver's-side airbag from deploying on 2005-2006 model-year Mercedes-Benz E-Class automobiles. The story says the investigation covers approximately 100,000 vehicles.
