On April 9, Daimler Northeast Asia Ltd. began recalling 600 units of its trucks in China. Citing potential wiring harness damage, the company's recall list included 65 imported Axor 944s made between January 2004 and December 2005.
According to Daimler, rust may cause damage and short circuit the trucks' starter wiring harness, leading to fire risk. The company will add a shield over the wiring harness under the rear cover of the starter.
