LOW-PROFILE POWER DEVICE?POWERMOD PSX low-profile family of connectors is 30% smaller than comparable devices and suited for power connections to embedded AC/DC power supplies or for board-to-board connections in servers, storage enclosures, and communications equipment. POWERMOD PSX features power contacts rated to 60 amps and signal contacts rated to 1 amp (per UL1977). The series is available in either power and signal versions, or power-only to provide power distribution and control in a single connector body. The combined power and signal connectors offer 80 signal contacts, in addition to either 2 or 4 power contacts. The power-only connectors are available in 2, 4, 6 and 8 contact configurations. Both versions offer male connectors in vertical and right-angle configurations and a vertical female configuration designed to support coplanar, backplane or mezzanine connections.

VITA 41-COMPLIANT BACKPLANE?This 21-slot VXS (VMEbus Switched Serial) backplane features 19 VXS slots and two VITA 41-compliant switch slots. Every switch is connected to every VXS connector. The first slot is a VME64x; 18 payloads can be connected. J1/J2 are VME64x slots, and J0 can be either a VXS or payload slot. Switches are located in the middle, allowing high-speed lines to have a minimum of time difference and maximum 1.8 ns skew. Transmission rate is 2.5 GB for every slot in the same time.

WATER IMMERSION-READY?The KJAYA Series hermetically-sealed connector features a lightweight aluminum shell designed for low-pressure water immersion or fording applications. Meeting MIL-STD-810 and IP67 water immersion requirements, the connector has a proprietary sealant that provides hermetic sealing of 0.01-micron cubic feet per hour for pressure differentials of 15 PSI. These connectors are designed for a variety of military and aerospace applications, including integrated avionics, communication and navigation equipment, displays and instrumentation, data processing equipment, electronic warfare systems, radar and sensors, weapon controls and targeting systems, electronics countermeasures, radio and telecommunications devices, and battery packs. KJAYA Series connectors are available in sizes 9 through 25 in wall and jam-nut mounting receptacles. They are water immersion sealed to 10 to -7 cubic cm per second. Aluminum shells feature copper alloy contacts. Connectors are available in MIL-DTL-38999 standard insert patterns with either PC tail or poke-home crimp piggyback terminations. Operating temperature ranges are from -55° to +150° C.

IP67-RATED M12?These high-density M12 connectors are designed to provide more I/O points than traditional M12 sensor/actuator connectors. The IP67-rated circular connectors come in 12- and 17-pole versions; the high pin count allows M12 device connections in applications where space must be conserved, such as medical equipment, robotics, printing machines, and industrial cameras. Typical panel cut-out size is 11 mm. Connectors are available as molded cordsets and extension cables, as well as panel feed-through or PCB-mounted receptacles. They feature proprietary Speedcon technology (securing with half a turn), operate across a wide temperature range, and are available in plug or socket versions.

BOARD-TO-BOARD SOLUTIONS?Designed for high data rates and low-noise characteristics required by multimedia, infotainment and entertainment applications, the HF507S Series board connectors (pictured below) feature transfer rates up to 5 Gbits/sec. They are available with 21, 31, 41 and 51 pin counts, in 180° or 90°, and in shielded or unshielded versions. In addition, MatchCon board connectors (MBP/MBS series) are characterized by a proprietary contact design for applications with strong vibration exposure. Positioning springs permit male and female contacts to interlock strongly so that the typical fretting of tin-plated contacts can be eliminated. MatchCon (pictured below) is based on a 1.27-mm pitch, and offers a range of 90° and 180° board connectors in SMT and with TH pins. The connection to the cable is secured by IDC technology, while another locking feature allows an additional locking between the board and cable connector. Versions are available with pin counts from 6 to 26.
