June 23, 2009--Designed for cost-efficient connector assembly, Harting's Han Easy Hood is split vertically, allowing simplified access to the connector wiring, thereby speeding assembly up to 20%.
An enlarged wiring chamber is designed for large AWG wire sizes or many wires. Inserts and finished harnesses can be assembled while lying flat, and inserts can be wired on harnesses and pre-tested prior to final hood assembly. Increased wall thickness withstands stresses of heavy cables during shipping, storage, and use, while edges and latching runners are rounded to ease pulling of connectors through tight spaces.
Han Easy Hoods are offered in multiple sizes with standard grey finish or black finish for light and sound applications in the entertainment industry, and with an EMC finish to meet highly shielded applications.
