Newark unveils 'value brand' online portal

May 8, 2009

May 8, 2008 -- Newark has launched an online portal showcasing a range of value-priced products for design, production, and benchtop applications. Products are searchable by category or brand.

Value brand product categories featured in Newark's offering include switches, relays, connectors, wire management products, fuses, test leads, and other electronic components under the SPC Technology brand; capacitors, resistors, fans, connectors, and semiconductors under the Multicomp brand; heat-shrink tubing and cable ties from Voltrex; digital and analog multimeters, probes, and oscilloscopes from Tenma; video cameras and monitors under the Defender brand; computer and audio cables from Pro Signal; audio equipment from Custom Audio; A/V cable assemblies from Stellar Labs; and hand and precision tools from Duratool.

The site also features an RF/coax cable assembly configurator offering 3,600 options. Custom assemblies can be configured in four steps; lead times are as short as two days, according to the distributor.

"Value brands offer our customers an uncompromising way to save money," says Diane Sweeney, vice president, Newark. "And our new portal makes it easy for them to source everything from components to custom cable assemblies."

Datasheets, technical notes, MSDS sheets, and certificates of origin and compliance are available for each value brand product.
