L-com earns Boeing award, unveils configuration tool

Apr 14, 2009

April 14, 2009-- -- L-com is recipient of the 2008 Boeing Performance Excellence Award (BPEA), an annual program to recognize superior supplier performance. Boeing generally announces BPEA recipients each January. Boeing introduced this award program in 2007 to replace its Preferred Supplier Certification program. "We are honored to receive this award of excellence from Boeing as it shows our customer service, product quality and on time delivery are the best of the best. Performance excellence is fundamental for our continued success and future growth," says Les Smock, L-com's contact center supervisor.

To better serve its customers, L-com has also unveiled an online tool for configuring coaxial, fiberoptic, and telecom/modular cables. This configuration tool is designed to save time and money by allowing you to design your own cable assemblies. To use, choose a type, choose your connectors and cable, and then pick a length and quantity. Next, the price and lead time will be automatically generated and you are ready to add a custom cable assembly to the shopping cart. "As we continue to develop this new tool, we will be adding more features as well as more product types," says Dave Gallagher, L-com's business systems designer/analyst. Ultimately, we want to offer our customers the fastest and easiest way to configure custom cables their way."
