March 12, 2009 -- 3M Canada announced the signing of a Canadian exclusive distribution agreement with Clearfield, Inc. (Plymouth, MN). The master distribution agreement gives 3M exclusive Canadian rights to provide Clearfield's range of fiber optic management products alongside 3M's portfolio of connectivity and fiber apparatus products.
Clearfield, Inc. designs and manufactures the FieldSmart fiber management platform, which includes its latest generation FieldSmart Fiber Distribution System (FDS), FieldSmart Fiber Scalability Center (FSC) and FieldSmart Fiber Delivery Points (FDP). The FDS, FSC and FDP product lines support a range of panel configurations, densities, connectors and adapter options, and are offered alongside an assortment of passive optical components for the inside plant, outside plant and access networks. Clearfield also provides a complete line of fiber and copper assemblies for inside plant and outside plant environments.
Key to 3M Canada's decision to offer Clearfield products to its customer base is the modular design of the 12-port Clearview Cassette, an easily adaptable module for multiple application environments.
