Pin-Sight is designed for assuring correct pinning of electrical connectors during wire harness assembly. Its high-res CCD camera guides the operator by electronically super-imposing, on a video monitor, a target circle around the correct cavity, guidance is based on an operator-input wire ID via barcode, keyboard or speech. In addition, Pin-Sight uses force-sense monitoring to check for properinsertion force and to verify contact retention (pull-back test).

Pin-Sight requires no mating connectors, and is suitable for building cable har-nesses when it is critical that the correct labeled or colored wire gets inserted into the correct cavity. This tool is designed to help elimi-nate mis-wiring errors and decrease connector pinning time by 30 to 50%.
