Sealevel intros PCI Express digital I/O interface

Feb 13, 2009

February 13, 2009 -- Sealevel Systems has introduced the DIO-32.PCIe, a PCI Express digital I/O interface adapter that provides 16 optically isolated inputs and 16 Reed relay outputs, which can be utilized for PC based control and automation of equipment including sensors, switches, A/V studio automation, security control systems, and industrial automation systems. The serial board's isolated inputs protect the PC and other sensitive equipment from the voltage spikes and ground loop currents that are common to industrial environments.

The board is available in two versions with inputs rated for 3-13V or 10-30V. Socketed dip resistors allow user configurable input ranges from +2V to +30V. The outputs provide high quality, long-life, dry contact switch closures suitable for low current applications. The board's 10VA Reed relays are normally open and close when energized. Sealevel SeaI/O Classic software drivers and utilities facilitate installation and operation using Windows 2000, XP and Vista operating systems. Software support for Linux is also available.

The DIO-32.PCIe is available immediately from stock priced at $479 for inputs rated 3-13V (Item# 8004e) and 10-30V (Item# 8004He). Also included is a 72" cable with a DB78 male connector to DB37 males and DB37 female connectors (Item# CA165). Standard operating temperature range is 0 - +70 deg C.
