EXTENDED FERRULE SMA–The eSMA connector features an ex-tended ferrule designed to address the problem of signal transmission and fragility of solder joints in hand-formable cable assemblies. This weatherproof, 50-Ω impedance connector also features failure-proof coupling nuts, EZ-style, solder-free captivated center contacts, and a solder-damming positive cable stop. The connector comes standard with a gold-plated body and center contact, and is available as a plug, bulkhead jack, and flange-mounted jack; eSMA assemblies are built-to-spec in desired lengths and are available in Times Microwave Systems TFlex cable sizes .086 and .141.

LCD COAX SOLUTION–The LCD Coaxial Embedded Display Interface (LCEDI) offers full intermateability with I-PEX Co., LTD CABLINE-VS product series under terms of an agreed license. This combination of product lines will offer the flat panel display (FPD) for computer and consumer industries a solution set for new applications of embedded DisplayPort Technology, as well as other high-speed video interconnect standards. DisplayPort Technology is a VESA-sponsored specification for HD video transmission. This 0.5-mm connector family is designed to accommodate consistent digital data transmission through one, two or four DisplayPort standard lanes at a reduced bit rate of 1.62 Gbits/sec or a high bit rate of 2.7 Gbits/sec through each lane, and even faster data rates or different wiring schemes. This combination of products replaces existing LVDS 6/8-bit single- or dual-channel signal transmission. The product families offer high density for notebook PC applications, minimizing space and accommodating future pin-out for LED backlight technology.
