M12 WITH PROFIBUS CAPABILITY–This M12 shielded panel-mounted male or female connector is pre-assembled for Profibus and Ethernet users. The receptacle is attached to a shielded cable with a twisted pair of AWG 22 wires. The Profibus receptacles are available in front- or rear-mount design for mounting to control cabinets. The die-cast zinc housing has a galvanic connection to the braided shield of the cable, which is designed to assure protection from electromagnetic interference (EMI). An IP67-rating protects the contacts from liquids and debris. These connectors are offered in the B-coded version with a standard cable length of 0.5 meters. Both male and female connectors are available with two gold-plated contacts crimped to a twisted pair of wires. Rated current is 4 A at a maximum operating voltage of 250 V.

CARD EDGE PCIe–The 1-mm centerline PCI Express (PCIe) connector family includes X1 (36 pins), X4 (64 pins), X8 (98 pins) and X16 (164 pins) right-angled connectors. These card edge connectors are designed to meet the requirements of PCI Express architectures that call for a high performance point-to-point full duplex I/O bus connector. The right-angled connectors are designed to solve space problems in applications where low clearance above the PCB prohibits the use of vertical configurations. Connectors provide board-to-board distances ranging from 5.84 to 16.68 mm, and are compatible with 1.6 to 2.4-mm thick motherboards and 1.6-mm thick daughter cards. They are equipped with molded polarization keys to prevent improper insertion of the daughter cards. Applications include servers, workstations, desktop PCs, and storage.

MINI MIL-AERO CIRCULARS–This family of miniature circular connectors has similar electrical and mechanical characteristics of larger, heavier MIL-DTL-38999 connectors. Designated the Trinity MKJ Series, the connectors are up to 71% lighter and 52% smaller than comparable devices, and feature size 23 pin and socket contacts that have the equivalent electrical performance of size 22 contacts, reducing contact spacing to 0.193 mm. The MKJ0 connector is built for every day operation where size and weight are at a premium; the MKJ1 is optimized for harsh shock and vibration environments; the MKJ3 can be fully mated in a quarter turn; and the MKJ4 has a push/pull mating and unmating mechanism for breakaway connections. All connectors can be mated up to 2,000 times. Coupling mechanisms can be selected from a choice of threaded, breakaway and bayonet styles. A Pogo Pin technology, featuring a proprietary spring probe pin/touch pad contact system, is also available.

SEALED IN-LINE FOR ROBOTICS, OFF-ROAD–UTS In-Line connector is designed to expand or repair links, and assures a level of dynamic airtight sealing to IP68 or IP69K for such applications as robotics, off-road, road signage and railway signaling. This modular solution is available in four sizes and 13 contact arrangements, and with crimp, solder or screw contacts. One connector with screw contacts can be coupled to a connector with solder or screw contacts; combinations include cable-to-cable with standard connector, wire-to-wire with grommet connector, or wire-to-cable using both a standard connector and a grommet connector. The compact, all-plastic device has no square edge, allowing it to be inserted in a narrow sheath or in areas that are difficult to access. It can transmit low or high power (up to 26 amps), or a signal of just a few milliamps, and its sealing attributes include immersion stability to a depth of 10 m and to pressures of 140 bar in cleaning operations. Plastic construction resists shock and vibration and offers a temperature range of -40° to +105° C.

LOW-PROFILE PDU SOLUTION–The 20 Amp ET connector is designed for low-profile power distribution units (PDUs) requiring a small form-factor interface. This new connector is a low loss solution for cable-to-printed circuit board (PCB) applications. The connector series features proprietary integrated coding contacts, which allow different electronic functions–such as sense and enable–to be designed into the PDU electronics, with activation on full insertion of the cable connector. Crimp contacts are from the industry proven “Standard Power Timer” range, with current ratings of 20 amps with 2.5-mm2 cable. Contacts accepting cable with a cross-sectional area of 4 mm2 with a 35-amp rating are also planned. The 20 Amp ET cable connectors are available in trays with contacts on reels for customer assembly, or fully assembled to specific customer requirements. A right-angle pick-n-place PCB mount version, which stands less than 8 mm above the PCB, is also available. A vertical-mount version is currently in development, with production samples expected for release soon.
