December 22, 2008 -- Allied Electronics has launched an online quote feature that the distributor says makes it easy for customers to procure their electronic and electromechanical products from an online quote.
"Allied's online quote feature makes it easy for customers to quickly add an online quote to their shopping cart and checkout," says Scott McLendon, vice president of product management and marketing at Allied. "The online quote tool gives customers the flexibility to purchase quotes whenever they want and through whichever channel they prefer."
Customers can purchase from an online quote by signing into their alliedelec.com account or by clicking on a link in an email. The distributor also recently added a Bill of Materials upload feature to its Web site.
