TTI, FCI ink global electronic, automotive agreement

Dec 22, 2008

December 22, 2008 -- TTI and FCI have announced an agreement authorizing the distributor to sell both FCI's electronics and transportation connectors globally. The agreement replaces the previous global authorization for only the electronics connectors and is the first such agreement to include both product lines.

In 2007, FCI began an aggressive program to penetrate the non-automotive transportation market through distribution. Several distributors have been franchised in Europe and Asia, but since acquiring NTI earlier this year, TTI has been the only franchised distributor for FCI in the Americas.

"This agreement formalizes the status of TTI, and is another indication of the strong working relationship between our two companies," comments Lou Lipomi, FCI's vice predsident of global distribution accounts. "It also is a significant step in our efforts to grow sales in the transportation market by leveraging our existing distribution program, which so far has exceeded our most optimistic expectations."

Joe Venturella, TTI's vice president of TTI's Transportation Business Unit, adds "TTI is pleased to become the only distributor authorized by FCI to carry both the electronics and transportation products on a global basis. Over the past two years, we have invested heavily into building our specialized Transportation Business Unit. The acquisition of NTI enhanced our product offering and the dedicated engineering and customer service resources that are focused on the transportation customers. We appreciate FCI's support and confidence and look forward to continued success together."
