December 17, 2008 -- At the request of customers and employees, TTI has added the ability to search through order status by customer part number, or if preferred, by manufacturer part number.
Previously, order status was limited to the TTI order number or the customer's purchase order number for searching purposes.
"This will prove to be a real timesaver for many of our customers," comments Rodney Hopper, TTI's Web business analyst. "This will be another step in a renewed effort to build our online offerings around the voice of the customer."
Order status search benefits the customer in several ways, maintains the distributor. One may view all orders and their status in real time, search for invoices by part number, invoice date, invoice number or purchase order number. The tracking number and the link to freight carriers for shipments in route also may be easily accessed. For TTI employees, the company says the new capability makes the practice of manually tracking customer orders obsolete.
