November 3, 2008--Amphenol Industrial now offers a low-loss 4-mm Helios H4 connector for photovoltaic systems. It features a locking design to meet NEC 2008, and improved gasket materials designed to enhance reliability for long-term use. The connector includes a TUV-compliant touch-proof casing designed for increased product and user safety.
Helios H4 also features a self-cleaning, high-efficiency grid contact, as well as long-term UV and ozone resistance. The connector is designed to connect multiple solar panels in strings, and then to combiner boxes or inverters, and mates with industry-standard connectors. RoHS-compliant, the Helios H4 uses a simple unlocking tool designed for quick mating and unmating in the field, and is engineered to meet UL, IEC/CEI, NEC, TUV, and DIN V specifications.
