The 2008 version of the E3.cable modules for wire harness design features intelligent customized functionality, letting you factor in specific design requirements shaped by the physical nature of your end products, industry legislation, and safety mandates. An automobile, for instance, typically has a large number of inliners; placing these within connections historically took several minutes each. E3.cable 2008, however, includes a function that will add these inliners and does the background work, reducing the time to complete the tasks. The design tool can also copy/insert complete sub-circuits as an original, letting you add system-level details without touching the top level or having to insert sheets manually. The latest version of E3.cable also eliminates the problem in parallel connection MIL/AERO applications of designs that often appear cluttered where connections are difficult. It introduces the ability to allow shielded pins in the form of daisy chains, and requires no work-arounds to display connectors that conform to industry MIL standards.
