FUSE TERMINAL BLOCK

These single-level (MPFA.4) and double-level (DSFA.4) fuse terminal blocks are designed to accept ATM plug-in fuses, and provide fuse protection in only 6-mm of space on the DIN rail of a cabinet. The double-level block is a feed-through termination on the bottom level and a fuse terminal block on the upper level, and suited for such applications as control circuits and control loops calling for one side of the line to have fuse protection. Both blocks also incorporate a proprietary plug-in jumper that comes in a metal carrier strip and can be cut to any number of circuits, then plugged insulated in the terminal block body. The blocks are available in a standard non-indicating version, and one that provides LED indication for quick recognition of a blown fuse.

Preterminated, factory-tested copper trunk cable assemblies (pictured below) are custom-configured in pre-engineered lengths using connectors to meet the specific needs of each application. These copper trunks use the company’s QuickPort jacks, which are compatible with the company’s line of QuickPort panels, allowing the trunks to be installed alongside individual cable runs or other media types. Offered in UTP and shielded versions in Category 5e, 6, and 6A performance, the trunk assembly receives a unique serial number, and individual cables are numbered relative to the serial number. A braided sleeve bundles individual cables into a cohesive assembly.

The SCDR (pictured) is a soft plastic cover designed for the rear protection of D-size chassis connectors, such as the company’s Power-Con, Speakon, OpticalCon, and XLR devices. It works with all common wires to cover the gap between the connector and cable, and protects against electric shock, creates airtight assembly, and offers LC dust protection. A SCDX hinged cover protects D-size chassis connectors from water, dust, and dirt while in an unmated position. Its snap-fit design ensures that the receptacle is protected from most external sources, and features label space.

ZIGZAG PIN DESIGN

The SPT 5 PCB terminal block features a zigzag pin design that allows for an unrestricted 600-volt and 35-amp UL capability, with a pitch of 7.5 mm. Spring-cage wire termination features solid and stranded conductors with ferrules that can be applied without the use of tools. For stranded wires without ferrules, a screwdriver is placed into the actuation shaft to open the contact termination point. A stackable design enables any combination of position sizes. Right-angle and vertical PCB-mount versions are available. Typical applications include power supplies, industrial controls, DC-to-DC converters, and drive controls.

HYBRID RJ-45 PATCH CORD

These 10-Gbits/sec-capable patch cords feature a standards-recognized TERA (Category 7) interface on one end and a redesigned version of the company’s RJ-45-style MC plug on the other. The cord supports current network equipment and future application speeds of 10-Gbits/sec and beyond. Featuring a Category 7 stranded cable, the hybrid patch cords meet or exceed all 10GBase-T standard requirements, and are compatible with standards-based RJ-45 outlets, ensuring long-term resistance to humidity-based corrosion, extreme temperature, and airborne contaminants. The cords include a color-coded clip feature, allowing simplified patch field identification and management. The MC plugs |offer an ultra-slim boot for tight side-stackability in high-density patching environments, and its cantilevered latch protection limits snagging while allowing it to be operated from further back on the plug.

CATEGORY 6A, 7 TERMINATION BLOCK

SS-51 Series punchdown blocks are engineered to allow field termination of insulated 22 to 26 AWG solid copper wire in Category 6A and 7 applications in which wires are individually shielded. Employing insulation displacement contact (IDC) technology, the RoHS-compliant devices are designed for rapid mass termination of multiple wires for telecom and datacom systems. The blocks feature a notched-head design to secure the wires in the plastic housing before termination, ensuring a mechanically stable connection between the conductor and the terminating contact. This allows for staggered pair-to-pair arrangements in multi-port designs to reduce alien crosstalk in Category 6A applications. The SS-51 Series is most commonly employed in network wall sockets, patch panels and distribution frames, and can also be used in conjunction with the company’s SS-60300 Series of Category 6A jacks in patch panels and wall outlets.
