Renzhe Zhao, Ph.D., has assumed the role of technical manager of applications engineering at Henkel Corp.’s (www.henkel.com) Irvine, CA technical center. He has been with the company for the past five years, and has played a significant role in the development of the group’s applications engineering activities, as well as the establishment of package-level underfill testing procedures. Serving as lead engineer in the development of Henkel’s Hysol QMI718 die attach material, Zhao was instrumental in the in-house testing and evaluation of the material’s package performance, development, and marketing.

With three decades of experience in the communications, data, and network industry, Leland most recently served as vice president of global channel sales at JDSU’s Communications & Test business group. For 19 years, he served at Fluke and Fluke Networks in various sales, market development, and marketing roles. A newly completed expansion at Positronic Industries’ (www.connectpositronic.com) design and manufacturing facility in Pune, India has added 20,000 square feet of space for engineering, R&D, tool and die fabrication, connector assembly, and precision lathe machining. A cable harness division is planned for the Pune facility, which began operations in 2005.
