Thomas Mittermeier has been named ODU's director of sales, as of February 2010. As an ODU sales group leader since 2004, Mittermeier was responsible for the Baden-Württemberg and Allgäu regions of Germany, in addition to Switzerland, the Middle East, and Asia. Mittermeier and his sales team successfully expanded these regions.
The company says that selective positioning in strategic markets is becoming increasingly important for its future. As such, Günter Rohr, previously director of sales for ODU, has assumed the new position of director strategic markets, with the goal of optimally satisfying customer requirements.
Prior to his position as sales director, Rohr was a technical product manager in ODU's design department, where he was responsible for the company's push-pull product series. This position included recognizing special market requirements and developing special products for respective markets.
