Powerpole and SB Multipole connector families feature modular, interchangeable, color-coded and genderless housings. Powerpole connectors are available in ratings from 15 to 180 amps for use through 600 volts continuous (AC or DC). Molded dovetails prevent misconnection with different connectors, while a touch-safe feature of the 15 to 45-amp connectors prevents accidental touching of live contacts. SB Multipole connectors (pictured) are available in amperage ratings from 50 to 700 amps for use through 600 volts continuous (AC or DC). Each color housing provides a keying feature that allows connectors to mate with only those of the same color. Each connector family features the company’s flat-wiping contact technology, designed for minimal contact resistance at high current.

Supporting data rates up to 10 Gbits/sec, GIG-ARRAY 25-mm mezzanine connectors add capability for 400-mm stack height when used with existing 15-mm receptacles, and can also be paired with 5-mm receptacle connectors to achieve 30-mm board-to-board spacing. A 296-position version contains 37 columns with eight signal and nine ground contacts, while the 200-position version contains 25 columns. Individual contacts for signal and ground connections are designed to provide more flexibility in handling power or low-speed signal than with systems that use interleaving ground shields. These connectors feature ball grid array (BGA) termination for simplified attachment to printed circuit boards using conventional reflow soldering processes.
