Fused harness to the rescue

According to Saudi Arabia’s Arab News (www.arabnews.com), Ford Middle East recently recalled a dozen of its models to install a fused wiring harness into the speed control electrical circuit. The recall, affecting 23,008 vehicles, could also involve replacing the deactivation switch.

Ford says the fused wiring harness installation will cut off the electrical supply to the switch in the event of increased current due to a leaking switch, which could result in overheating and fire.
